Concepts are very abstract and general words or phrases that will bring specific meaning the theory/phenomena once developed. For this theory to hold any validity it must have the ability to transcend time and place within the nursing profession and hold to its definition and importance. The theory must be well researched and observed for the phenomena to be accepted as a truth that will promote practice or drive improved outcomes.
