Thinking about Evil

Arendt explains the notion of the ‘banality of evil,’ as most undermining in the capacity of a general public to possibly commit itself to massive killing. Basically, the meaning of banality of evil is essentially put under certain conditions, for a general public to advance to a degree that it changes what we accept to be underhanded behaviour into behaviour which is completely commonplace and morally justified as a means to an ideal end (Baehr, 2002).
