This dissertation seeks to understand the role of music festival on the tourism industry. It also focuses on the community music festival as one of the type of events which has a particular strong connection to the host tourism industry. Music festivals are organised by the local communities in a given region and ensures that a specific theme which has developed from the community itself is well celebrated by many people who travel from different parts of the world just to attend the specific event.
