All God’s Children is a book that follows solely on the men from Willie Bosket’s family from when they were serving as slaves in South Carolina. There is something that Butterfield wanted to reveal, and that is poverty, cruelty that had become consistent and ideas of honor and tradition violence that were not legitimate at all.
