On December 1, 1974, Flight 514, which was a Boeing 727-231 crashed on its approach to Dulles International Airport killing all 85 passengers and 7 crew. The plane was also destroyed following the crash. There were several factors that contributed to this accident and after investigations by the NTSB, they found some of them as factors leading to this event.
