Supply chain management integrates all the activities that are involved in production, inventory, transportation, and location of goods and services. A competitive supply chain considers the cost of moving goods and storage before they reach the intended market. This, therefore, means that the design of the distribution networks is very critical in the supply chain. Most producers prefer the use of distribution centers to ensure that their goods reach the final consumers in a timely fashion (Arabzad et al., 2015).
