The 24th APEC meeting was held on 19th to 20th November 2016 in Peru (Lima Convention Centre), where it marked the second APEC meeting to be held at Peru (Thailand: 24th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting 1). APEC was first established back in the year 1989 to act as a forum rim member to promote free trade throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The 24th APEC economic leaders meeting brought together leaders from various countries to discuss the different kind of issues that are currently affecting the economy of the current world today.
