AN ARGUMENT OF THE APPROACHES TO POLICING STUDY: THEORIZING POLICING   

The two theories of policing, that is, the Weberian and the Durkheimian are a central core in the study of policing. However, there is an undermining of their relevance in the field of justice and policing. The Durkheimian approach focuses on the policing symbolic meaning of morality. The theory asserts the positive aspect of the police in which they stand for the institutions of instilling good behaviors without inflicting pain on anyone in the society.
