The Assyrian empire is comprised mostly of the Semitic people. Also, the Assyrians worship a god under Ashur the patron. The patron is identified with the earlier Babylonian god Marduk (Mark, 2014). The Assyrians fought much that they ended up adding more land and more people to their territory. This paper talks more about direct evidence from the past from a primary source.
