There are several methods used in communicating with the legislators which include meeting, telephone calls, letters, Email, internet, or public forum. A meeting with a local policymaker is an effective way to communicate and influence the legislative process (Mathur, Singh, Thompson, & Nejadmalayeri, 2013). A face to face meeting has more impact on the superintendent because it is easier to express one’s passion.
