The purpose of classifying something is for the purpose of arranging it accordingly to the required class as well as category. In the Merchant of Venice classification a few characters will have to be analyzed as well as different scenes to help classify it as a comedy or a tragedy. a comedy will typically have normal character who proves to be much successful in overcoming an obstacle.
