In exploring the representation of the woman in the film industry, Laura Mulvey’s theory i.e. the male gaze theory will be used. The representation of women is considered to be a very integral part of the narratives in films. It is worth noting that this representation is greatly influenced by the deterritorialisation of the domestic sphere around and after the world war II period(Cook 2009).
