Data collection involves the process of gathering and measuring given information on a given number of variables. Data collection is of great importance in any organization or institution as it allows one to answer given questions regarding the targeted variable under study (Villars, Olofson, & Eastwood, 2011). There are many reasons why data has to be collected and these reasons are usually for the benefit of both the stakeholders and the organization itself.
