The main objective of this paper is to identify appropriate methodologies to use later in research thesis on big data, problems of big data and methods to resolve these problems. The paper commences with the identification of the problems identified earlier on in the literature review. This is then followed by a discussion on the type of commonly applied methods in solving problems of big data.
