Monocular deprivation is a research method used by a neuroscientist to study plasticity of the central nervous system (Ebert, 2007)
. Evidently, this experiment is carried out on an animal eye when it is in a sutured shut mode. Again, it is done at a period of high cortical plasticity which is about 4-5 weeks in a mice.
