Tocqueville provides an in depth discussion of the political, social, and economic aspect of the American government from an outsider perspective. He observes that the human nature is largely shaped by deception that is instigated by one group against the other. From his outsider perspective, Tocqueville observes the possible weakness with the American governing system risk moving towards dictatorship if they abandon the republic (Tocquivelle 4).
