Everything in life is worth a gamble, if you think about it. I mean, let’s face it, without good old King George-the-whatever taking a risk on the Great South Land way back in those days of well-turned ankles and towering hairstyles, who would there be to so consistently challenge the Brits at cricket, show the French how to play rugby, or invent the Black Box Recorder, the wine cask, the rotary clothes-line?
